Hoxhunt, the world's leading platform for human risk management and security behavior change and awareness training, announced today it's been named by G2 on its 2023 Best Software Awards, placing #24 on the Best EMEA Software Companies list. As the world’s largest and most trusted software marketplace, G2 is visited by 80 million software buyers each year. Its annual Best Software Awards rank the world’s best software companies and products based on authentic, timely reviews from real users.

After garnering 9 awards in 3 categories from 1,437 users, Hoxhunt is no stranger to accolades from G2. But this is Hoxhunt's first time transcending category and receiving a G2 Best Software Company recognition, thanks to a rocket ride forward on its mission to transform human risk management in cybersecurity with an AI-enabled, people-first approach.

"We're deeply grateful for the recognition from our loyal users and security leaders that has propelled us onto the list of Best EMEA Software Companies on G2. This recognition is a testament to the commitment of our own people, and the impact we're making with our people-first platform, which is designed to go beyond awareness and lower risk with measurable security behavior change." -- Mika Aalto, Co-founder and CEO

This award comes at a fascinating time. Last week, Hoxhunt was recognized with three awards by software review site, TrustRadius. Last year, Hoxhunt announced a $40 million Series B funding round with Level Equity partners and was named the fastest-growing software company in Finland by Deloitte.

And soon, Hoxhunt will share some amazing news concerning its evolution into a human risk and security behavior change platform. Hoxhunt was always intended to go where no computer-based security awareness training software had gone before: the center of the security stack. And with an AI-enabled platform that drives measurable risk reduction via lasting behavior change, Hoxhunt is realizing its mission.

The Hoxhunt mission begins by equipping individuals with the skills and confidence to keep themselves and their organizations safe from human-targeted cyberattacks, which are responsible for 90% of data breaches. But Hoxhunt's commitment to excellence continues beyond awareness to enhance and accelerate threat detection and response capabilities. While transcending the security awareness training category, Hoxhunt has been disrupting the concept of security awareness training existing solely in the "protect" silo of the NIST framework.

“While G2 publishes the Best Software Awards each year, they’re really awards from customers,” said Sara Rossio, Chief Product Officer at G2. “Representing a vote of confidence from real software users, these awards also spotlight those that have risen to the top among thousands of companies. With 2 million+ verified software reviews, the most in a single destination, our marketplace features more than 145,000 products and services across 2,100 different categories. Congratulations to all those named, as buyers will continue to lean on these awards as a trusted source to inform their software decisions in the year ahead.”

The top 100 companies are ranked based on a combination of Satisfaction and Market Presence scores for each vendor, and the top 100 products are ranked based on reviews across all categories they are a part of. To be recognized as a Best Software Award winner, a software company or product must receive at least 50 approved and published reviews during the 2022 calendar year. Scores reflect only data from reviews submitted during this evaluation period.

“Recognition by G2 is so special because it comes from both the end-user employees as well as their admins, which validates our entire approach of being designed for people and built to manage human risk," said Co-Founder and CEO, Mika Aalto. "Everyone has worked incredibly hard to advance the Hoxhunt experience beyond awareness and into measurable risk reduction and lasting security behavior change. They've innovated cutting-edge technology while maintaining vital human connections to ensure our customers achieve their goals.”
